A recent Washington Post article featured the latest generation of media devices. One of the biggest complaints made regarding the DVD player is that it is a "one-trick pony." In small spaces, we have to question every sole-use device we own. The newest generation of DVD recorders solves this problem and more. Not only can they play and record DVDs, but they also sport digital TV tuners. As we've already discussed, the end of analog TV is near. Come 2009, when analog TV broadcasts cease, your TV will be able to keep chugging along with one of these DVD players. That is, they include the ability to display digital TV without needing to buy another convertor box. Less devices means more space.
