Are you looking for ways you and your kids can live a more environmentally conscious lifestyle? Last week The Washington Post listed ten family-friendly ways to go green.
Here are a few of our favorite ideas from the list...
Before back to school shopping for new clothes, have a clothes swap party. Whatever you don't give away, pack up and donate. Have an "unplugged" evening at home - meaning no video games, no tv/movies, no email. Think of things to do together as a family that don't require electricity - dine by candlelight, play board games or sing songs. Teach your kids chemistry by showing them how to make natural cleaning products from vinegar, baking soda, and other things you have in your kitchen. For more ideas, read the full article here.
