Imagine floating out onto your deck to sip a cup of coffee in the morning. Floating? Sound strange? NASA doesn't seem to think so as they are working on a living capsule that is 13 feet in diameter and 19 feet tall. Interior accomodations and architecture are still being devloped but it looks like a scalable hub and spoke system of some sort will be the design of choice. Since weight is a huge issue in getting this prefab to the moon, the structure is inflatable and new materials are being developed that harden after exposure to UV light along with embedded microcapsules that release a foam sealant if punctured to keep the structure air tight. Pre purchase for 2020 anyone?
