While the room above isn't necessarily small, the concept of designing a canopy bed as a unit with a bathroom built-in is an efficient and attractive piece of design work that could work in a small space. There are some really nice ideas in this pic...
Blossom, designed by the Danish firm i29 (see "home 4"), is a bed on the front, a toilet and shower behind glass doors on either side and a sink area on the back. Then, of course, there's the huge tub, the lovely curtains and all that airy space that gives it such a romantic appeal.

Beautiful Bed Linen these are !! I bought similar Bed Linen from Designer Linens Outlet store and got exiting offers.
Why? Why would you have something like this when you could have a real bedroom and a real bathroom? Bedrooms are supposed to be snuggly, bathrooms are supposed to have fans and be waterproof.
I love the bathtub idea, but I'm not so wild about having to hear my SO use the toilet (or my SO hear me) while reclining in bed. Sometimes close is a little too close!
I absolutely don't get this bed system. I have a floating tub in my open plan bedroom, and the toilet is tucked behind a wall return, but this evokes a whole other concept I'm just not grasping.

and though i love the design, i think this example really looks like there is a bedroom-box in a big bathroom :-D
I like the idea but I would modify it to be warmer and more integrated into the room—make the shower larger and open to the skylight, the whole unit looks like it was plonked down, would reorient it in the room. The flooring looks so cold, is it concrete? industrial carpet? I would love to see this with a nice warm wooden floor.

I really hate when you guys re-posti REALLY old posts, especially about "trends". Isn't this site about innovation and moving FORWARD? I don't want a repeat of all the posts I saw in 2006 (or are you expecting us to have stopped reading by now?)
So far we've got damp sheets, and tinkle and splash noises going against this idea. Nobody yet mentioned odors wafting over you as you recline in bed, so I will.

Oh, and the relaxing sound of water through pipes right behind your head, as your early-rising bedmate showers, flushes and brushes while you try to get a few minutes' more sleep.

I just dont see the purpose. I .... yah, I just... no. no. I want my bedroom to be a place of relaxation- I dont see that here. Bad idea.
Its a pretty picture, however, not practical at all. Besides, its bad Feng Shui to have bathroom elements in your bedroom!!!

Why would I want to lie in bed and look at a bath tub? No, not romantic. Who wants to sleep in a bird cage and break the open space of the room? With the bed under the sky light with no apparent shade, you can kiss a day time nap good bye. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this room.
The idea of a canopied area that is slightly larger than the bed is interesting. Other than than, why?
