It's funny, just last night we were looking at a very blank wall in our tiny abode and wondering if we were ever going to get around to actually doing something with it. Jan's post about blowing up a photo and using it as a headboard, or just as art, makes us entertain the notion...

funny, i just got back from greece and many a chora about 24 hrs ago! i did take lots of great photos, but probably not of dense enough detail to blow up quite that big! lovely tho.
can you link me to jans post?
mscot,
Sorry, Jan is Poppy Talk. Link's above.
I thought photos WERE art - "blown-up" or otherwise...
idea: If you aren't the greatest photographer, check out stock photo sites (gettyimages.com, veer.com, masterfile.com to name a few) or buy an image from the Library of Congress for cheap.
Love using your own pics as inspiration. There are some great sites that will blow up your pics and lay them off on canvas. Great post!

Because I know someone will ask:
The big swingarm lamp in the pictures is the Arteluce 265, by Paolo Rizzato, manufactured by Flos.
(See it in another spacious, cool room.)
It runs about $1000.
I love that lamp.
