Around since 1997, this Midwest-based company started by three college friends continues to find success as they push their line (and design) to completely new places, such as this years addition of a task chair, which we saw for the first time at ICFF. The interest level in their work seems to be at a high - every time we passed by their booth at the show it was packed....as was their industry party on Saturday night.
Congrats, Blu Dot!

Sprout Side Table
Wow, that new office chair is awesome.
I have mixed feelings about Blu Dot. Their designs are outstanding - I don't think there's even one piece I dislike the look of.
Having owned their Dodu bed, however, I can say that the construction of some items is simply awful. It was the most expensive and most fragile piece of furniture I have owned.
Completely agree with ChristopherB. I have the strut dining table (in dark olive) and while I know it's a huge risk whenever you get anything with high shine - the top surface of my dining table has scratches and marks that won't come off and appeared way too easily for my liking. The top is MDF with a polyurethane finish. Don't get me wrong - it looks great - but even after being really careful, I saw a ton of streaks and marks on the top when you look at it.
I like em. We have an old Paperclip desk of theirs that is still going strong (that said, I don't expect my furniture to stay in perfect condition).
ditto on the strut for being easily scratched and more. we have a large one and some of the varnish lifted when we left a spray bottle of simple green on top of it for three hours. i don't understand why it's not powder coated / enameled all the way around – rather than just the legs.
