The ArchDaily post on Lassila Hirvilammi Architects' design for House Ulve in Seinaäjoki, Finland describes the exterior as "blueberry-tinted stained wood" — and although it is probable they are merely comparing the color to that of blueberries, it would be very cool to live in a house with wood stained by blueberries (they're in abundance in Finland!).
Lassila Hirvilammi Architects incorporated elements from both Finnish and Norwegian home design into the home's design and they were careful to blend this new house into the existing neighborhood of 1950s homes.
