Extra Bed. When swissmiss posted a Convertible Ottoman from Bo Concept, we were a bit surprised. Frankly, nothing from Bo Concept has impressed us enough for the prices they charge. This could change though as the Convertible Ottoman starts at a base price of $479...

We imagine it could be less if you made your own upholstered "cover"—theirs is very simply constructed. Three cheers to Bo Concept for finally redesigning and updating their website!

This reminds me of these things my (fairly design-conscious) grandparents used to have--they were these low chairs that folded out into beds. They didn't have a hard frame like this one; the whole thing was an upholstered firm foamy material. We slept on them when were were little, and they were pretty comfy--better than a sleeping bag, or a futon, anyway.
Jenny - in highschool we'd giggle and call those things a "flip and f*ck"
I remember those chairs! They were great for making forts. Not very pretty though.
Ack! Please don't make me associate the term "flip and f*ck" with my grandparents.
Really this doesn't look so bad, though. We're trying to get rid of our guest bed so we can free up our extra room for our office/getting some me-time/playing guitar area.
I could totally see two of these under the windows or, if they are low enough, in front of a small couch as a coffee table.
When friends come over, *presto* bed! No more feeling like a heel because I ask them to bring a bed roll in order to crash on our wood floors.
No no no... the "flip and f*ck" had that stupid round roll on the top... staple of college furniture, at least here in the midwest.
flip and fuck is what i like to do with my boyfriend
I'm actually looking for one of those F&F (I'd never heard the term before!) sofas. Just a cheap, college-y thing. Just like Nicole, I'm trying to make more room for music in the guest bedroom/office/studio, and a foam couch that folded out would do the trick. Does anyone know where one can find them? I don't think they should be anywhere near the price of the Bo Concept ottoman.
