I would like to share my family's unique outdoor space. The weather in our area is warm 8 months of the year, so the splash pad gets great use.
My son is 3 and born in August, when temperatures can climb to 110 degrees. His birthday parties are themed aound the splash pad and are always a hit. We have also had daycare field trips, holiday parties, and family BBQs.
Thanks, Bobby!

Commercial Flour Sa...
Wow! Super cool! Best yard post yet!
This is really, really cool, but in Palm Springs, I cringe at the amount of water it must use. Still, I'm quite jealous. I would love one of these.
That is fabulous! If we had warm weather that much, I would absolutely look into a splash pad.
If it's recirculating the water, it looks like it uses a whole lot less than a regular pool.
I love that! I wonder how much trouble it would be to winterize, here in NH??
For kids that is the coolest thing. I like how it has two areas. It does seem a bit only kid oriented though.
The area with the fountains can double as a patio area when not in use. Just plop a set of table and chairs there and now it is a grownup oasis. I'd love to hear how they went about creating that ($ breakdown included)! It is definitely neat!
Awesome. It's like Dorney water park, but in a backyard.
It would be a blast for kids, but I think it would just be better to have a space that they can grow into, too. A pool is better for all ages!
What a fun backyard!
I think this is a great alternative to a pool. Pools are a lot of work, and a huge safety hazard when you have little ones. I can totally picture my teenager and her friends hanging out on something like that.
Grass in the desert.
It's just wrong.
That is so awesome for kids! I wish I had something like that growing up.
And as an adult, no it's not a full-size pool (which I would love), but I could see sitting in the pool part with a book or dragging a lawn chair over to the cement part and laying down on it under the sprinklers on a hot day.
Very cool!
I agree...definitely the best yard post yet!
I agree with MO387. I would still use it as an adult on a hot day - slip my feet into the water or lay under the sprinklers. I could also see it becoming a pond, with koi and water plants later.
I think it is AWESOME! Can I come over and play?
Wonderful idea. Does anyone know an approximate price?
I am very much an adult and would use this all summer long.
I don't have a yard OR kids but I got out of my bed where I viewed this on my phone... so that I could pin it and never forget about it. I LOVE IT!! So fun... and so refreshing for adults too.
Fantastic idea!!!
It's really nice, but seems like a bit much for kids who will only enjoy it for a few more years. Sprinkler, slip-n-slide, kiddie pool -- kids still enjoy simple things.
I'm amazed that no one else appears to have thought of creating a domestic version of the play fountains at water parks. It's genius!
It would also use less water (assuming that it's recirculating) than a pool. And for those who sniff that it's only for little children... do you seriously think that a pack of 16 year olds wouldn't jump on this for parties on a hot summer night?
I am jealous. We live in Texas and I would love to have something like this. Honestly I've seen ones that are completely flat and would love even just that. Less expensive than a pool to build and operate. AWESOME.
This is awesomely cool!! Love it! Hope you get lots of use out of it! (wouldn't work for us personally, I prefer a good ol' fashioned sprinkler)
Love it!
Gaah! I want a splash pad! That is awesome.
I totally agree that adults and older kids would use this. Honestly when I get in a pool these days it's to cool off and lounge with a drink - not to swim around and have a big area to play in. Maybe it could benefit from being a TAD deeper for this purpose, but I'm envisioning sitting in it almost like you would a hot tub. It reminds me a bit of some of the caribbean resorts where they have very shallow areas of pools with chaise lounges in the water so you can lounge with the water splashing up around you...I think there are ways like that where it would absolute be used by teens and adults.
And as someone else mentioned, you can use the concrete area for a seating area when the sprinklers aren't in use or after kids grow up, but I can see it being a pretty and relaxing water feature even if kids aren't playing in it.
Genius!
As someone who spent years 5 and 6 of my life in Palm Springs, I would have absolutely loved this!
Love this! Another post that makes me yearn for a backyard.
Many public parks in Toronto have these and they are kid magnets in the summer.
absolutely brilliant! am pinning now and will look into recreating. would love to hear more about how it was created and $$$
This is so cool! And as for growing with your kids, I see 10 year olds (and older) running around our local splash pads having a blast. I would use this to cool off any day of the week!
I love the idea of splash pads, there used to be a few public parks around here with them, sadly they've been turned off & a private one is against bi-laws here as they are not very-water wise.
Looks like tonnes of fun though.
love it! About how much did it cost to make?
This is amazing!! I would be outside all summer long! The perfect thing for little ones, and yes, I would be in there as well! Thanks for sharing!
Great fun.
It looks like great fun. A toddler can still drown in this however...
Awesome backyard! If anyone out there is interested in putting one of these in their very own backyard, check out www.splashzone.com
We offer full design and installation throughout the U.S. or you can buy one of our patent splash pad kits and install it on your own. Thanks!
This is great, did you diy or have it done and can you tell me about how much it cost? Thanks!
How do I get one? In in Tampa, FL.
