"The Bocce Table Lamp is inspired by old world hand craftsmanship, the type that was made in Europe in the 1950s and before. A time before low quality mass production or a throw away mentality, items that people valued in their homes because of their quality....."
"These items were not made of resin and plastic, but less toxic materials; like ceramic, glass, wood.
This lamp is the first in a collection I am having manufactured by a small ceramic manufacturer near Pompeii Italy. The lamp in the photo is the first proto-type, but another is on the way. I also attached a 3D drawing. The feel is old world but with a contemporary slant."

I really love bocce ball. I think I would have liked this lamp more if it looked more like a set with all the colors than like a bunch of balls in a bowl.
That lamp looks like a dust and grime graveyard. Besides that, it doesn't really grab me.
I love this lamp! It reminds me of snowballs. It's fun!
I agree with Hannah Panda. If you're going to embrace the bocce aesthetic, it might be best to REALLY embrace it.

$600 is ridiculous -
You could get a pair of monumental and intricate vintage Blanc de Chine lamps on eBay for this price.
this lamp looks like a remnant from a snowball fight. Very blah, and like Pixie said, a dusting nightmare. I don't even think a swiffer wand could get in there!
Not for no $600!
Sorry, I like to throw in some bad grammar when I am outraged.
There's a snowball's chance in hell that I would pay $600 for this lamp!
I wouldn't even pay $6 for this lamp, let alone $600.
i hate it...
It isn't a bocce ball without the color... it loses all context.
Agressively unattractive. Even the high-blown (and ungrammatical) description gives me the creeps.
All of the comments about price really miss the point of this entire competition. It is extremely expensive to do a small run of anything. If these designers worked for Pottery Barn and had several hundred stores and manufacturer orders on the magnitude of thousands of units, you would not be looking at a $600 price point for this lamp. But they don't.
And that is kind of the point of this whole competition. Take those "prices" with a grain of salt. The competition is really about the idea.
Thankyou Richard
