The re-issue of the sixties era cone bbq.
According to the rep that I spoke with at Bodum's booth at the Home & Housewares Show yesterday, they had such great success with their super colorful small BBQ that launched at the show last year (here is our post from our 2010 show coverage) that they've greatly expanded their line of grills…
… including a re-issue of their original sixties era cone BBQ, which was only in production for a few years back in the day. It was scrapped at the time in favor of the ever-growing coffee maker market, but remained in the product archives as a favorite. Now that the time is right, it's back! The cone bbq is a good looking, interesting design and a great small space solution. The actual footprint of the grill is small but it is a workhorse, with are two levels of grilling surface and a high heat output, due to the conical shape.
Also new to Bodum's BBQ line is a full size oval grill. It has a built-in wood work surface to the side and a removable charcoal holder for easy cleanup.
And for those of us with no outside space for grilling, they have come up with an indoor grill. The grill surface can be flipped over for to change to a flat griddle and the whole grill/griddle portion is removable and dishwasher safe.
These three new items and the small BBQ launched last year will all be available in plenty of time for summer entertaining in four great colors: green, orange, black and red.
