Boeing 727 Hotel Suite in Costa Rica

For those of you who were intrigued by our last post about vacationing in a refurbished plane, here's one more option, this time in Costa Rica!...

Hotel Costa Verde recently introduced a two bedroom suite in a vintage 1965 Boeing 727 in a jungle in Costa Rica. The suite is encased in teak paneling and furnished with handcrafted teak furniture. The plane is situated on top of a 50 foot pillar, promising guests delightful ocean views. For $400 - $500/day (depending on the season) this suite can be yours! The plane easily sleeps 6 people so if you divide the daily rate between that many folks, it's actually an attainable dream. Of course there's the expense of getting to Costa Rica, but we'll let you figure out the details on that one. For more information, click here.

(For those of you who watch LOST, isn't the opening photo eerily reminiscent of a certain small plane hanging precipitously in the jungles of well, um, wherever those castaways are?)
