BOFFO: What Could You Create In 3 Days?

How far could you stretch a budget, concept, and your handy skills? This is the challenge presented each year by the BOFFO Building Fashion series where a fashion designer and an architect/artist collaborate to push the limits of retail architecture.

BOFFO Building Fashion is a program that pushes the limits of architecture by taking away normal constraints of retail construction; rent is paid for, small budget provided, architect and client meetings are mediated to make sure everyone remains happy. It reappropriates one space five times over a period of a couple months. Last year the series was completely remodeled 5 times every two weeks and construction lasted only 3 days!

This year the series is working with Nicola Formichetti, Irene Neuwirth, Patrik Ervell, Lake and Stars, and Ohne Titel. The competition is being run on the BOFFO website and Architizer.com. (Competition Entry Deadline is July 4) It takes place during Fall Fashion week (September) and will be located in Tribeca, NYC.
