How much would you pay for a bathroom as bold and high-end looking as the one in Shauna Glenn's Texas house? Her incredible design choices make this bathroom inspiration-worthy. But when you add up the price tag of just the items Shauna listed in her house tour resource list, you get around $2500 and counting. All beautiful products worth the money, but if you're on a budget and want to get a similar look, there are ways to achieve it for less.

The products in Shauna's bold bathroom:

The reason why Shauna's master bathroom is amazing isn't the sleek modern tub and lots of space (along with a stunning picture window). Sure those things help lend a high-end look to Shauna's bathroom, no doubt. But her bathroom is spectacular thanks to her bold design choices. The key is repeating Shauna's smart design formula with more affordable resources.

A bold bathroom on a budget break-down:

Fearless wall pattern and color

Hygge & West's Otomi wallpaper pattern is stunning — energetic and vibrant — but at $140 a roll, it might be out of your price range. Flytta Fauna from Total Wallcovering is only $45 a roll. Or, if you're not a fan of wallpaper, you could use a stencil and paint, like this Otomi wall stencil from Etsy for $45 and put pattern on as much surface as you'd like with a little paint.

Stand-out lighting

The Pelle Gooseneck Chandelier from West Elm caps off a great bathroom nook, but $799 is pricey. IKEA's ÄLGHULT Ceiling lamp is only $39.99, and features the same globe and curved arm shape. You could always spray paint the finish to give it a high-end look. No matter what kind of bathtub you have, a light fixture statement will increase the high-end vibes.

Luxurious textiles

In this bathroom, the tall curtains are from Pottery Barn and they add softness to the space, but you can find good, basic white curtains for a similar look at IKEA for a lot less.

Budget buys for a high-end look:

Natural materials

A round natural fiber rug infuses the modern bathroom with comfort. The large Serena & Lily rug is a good deal at $298, but this 4' Jute rug from Overstock is an even better deal at $70.

Unnecessary but fun accessories

Sometimes creating a bathroom you want to spend time in means adding in fun elements that you don't necessarily need. Elevating your space from utilitarian to spa-like can happen when you add in accessories.I love the look of Urban Outfitter's little side table, and it's not priced too bad at $98. But the LINDVED Side table from IKEA features a multi-tiered look and is only $19.99. A fresh coat of gold spray paint would look great. Add towel storage with this wire basket from CB2 for $19.99.

Unique vanity area

You may not have room in your bathroom to dedicate to getting ready in the morning, but if you've got any space at all, you might consider making it both unique looking and comfy to spend time in. In another nook of Shauna's bathroom, the bold wallpaper is mixed with a set of round mirrors from Urban Outfitters and a $350 sheepskin-covered stool from West Elm. This three-piece mirror set from Wayfair is $45. And again, IKEA can give you the look for less: FROSTA stool from + an IKEA sheepskin is only $29.98 total.

Contrasting art

Even though the wallpaper in Shauna's bathroom provides all the pattern you might need, she added two abstract black and white pieces on either side of her tub. This unexpected pop of contrasting pattern makes her space even more exciting. She didn't provide a link to the art in her room, but this Black and White abstract art from Society6 is only $34.

→ Add all the affordable substitutions up and you get a price that's less than what Shauna's bathroom cost, but no less lovely.
