Living in a semi-bland rental definitely has its downfalls. When I moved into this house I had previously looked at several apartments that just weren't up to par and eventually somewhat settled for my current home (I know, that sounds terrible). I actually don't mind my bathroom but it certainly doesn't hold a candle to these bold & beautiful bathrooms.
I have white subway tile flowing half way up the wall and penny tile on the floor but that's where the fun stops. I can't paint the walls a bold color or install a claw foot tub and pedestal sink that I feel belong in the space. I'm stuck with bottom barrel fixtures from Home Depot. So, I longingly stare at beautiful bathrooms dreaming of someday having one myself.
What I love about these bathrooms is that they're not only beautiful, but they're bold in their own ways. Bold meaning either black walls, hardwood floors or hanging a chandelier above your bathtub. The lucky few who get to shower in these beauties each day decorated the spaces with vigor and a clear vision.

I love theses - and especially the towel rack in bathroom #1 - does anyone know that item's source?
lazy it was featured in Domino, I'll check my issues tonight.

The chalkboard(?) wall bathroom looks great! Love the toothbrushes :-)
Thanks so much, funstraw!
That's Jenna Lyon's bathroom in pic 1 - and you're right, it should be attributed to Domino.
I love #4 - with the exception of the yellow plastic chair, it's so elegant...
...#1 is nice, but it makes me want to get my hammer and start nailing down floorboards.
I love how these are called "bold" and yet save the tiny chair, not a single one uses color. Bathrooms are my FAVORITE place for pops of bold, bright color! We just did ours with orange touches and we LOVE it.
lazy_lurker,
The towel rack in 2008 is the chrome plated brass #D-25 for $2197 from Myson (800) 698-9690. mysoninc.com
$2197 for a towel rack!? dubayoo tee eff
I know, I hope to redo my whole bathroom for that price.
vote goes to #2=)
