Table settings don't always have to be holiday related. We often throw dinner parties that have nothing to do with the holidays — we celebrate for no reason sometimes and that certainly calls for color! Don't think you have to only stick to brown and orange or red and green.
If you do only throw dinner parties for the holidays, there's nothing wrong with a red, white and blue winter table scape. After all, those three colors cover several of the different religions and are often separately associated with winter — so why not together? Super chic and eye catching!
If you do want to go the more traditional route in holiday themed entertaining, go with bright traditional colors. Bright white mixed with bright orange, green and yellow will scream thanksgiving without being too traditional.

Shaw's Original Fir...
I love the look of 'mixed china' but i never even imagined throwing Asian dishes into the mix. That first place setting makes me swoon! :)
I have a great suzani tapestry that I use as a tablecloth sometimes (currently Suzani obsessing, see North On Harper for proof!). I like to use it with even my more conservative china- seems to liven up the whole table!
I really like that egg-shaped kid's chair in the second pic!
I am all for colors, but wouldn't it distruct you from colors of food itself?
