Hang a banner: The customizable one recently highlighted over at The Kitchn is perfect for an outdoor evening party. Make one that reads "Bon Voyage", or the trip's destination or a well wish in the destination country's language.

Serve foods that get the travelers in the mood and share the journey's flavor with guests: I'm researching Moroccan and Spanish dishes that would be good to serve.

Throw a post card party: Guests can each bring a post card with a message to the travelers written on it. The post cards can be used as decor. Lots of postcards together can look really good.
