We eat our own cooking. And we write about it, too. After a year of hard work, Sara Kate's first cookbook, The Greyston Bakery Cookbook: More Than 80 Recipes to Inspire the Way You Cook and Live, is out and available all around town as well as at Amazon and Powell's.
Chronicling the history of the Greyston Foundation, started by buddhists nearly 25 years ago (and where Sara Kate worked after college), the book contains dozens of recipes for your sweet tooth, including the amazing brownies that have made their way into Ben & Jerry's ice creams (they're a customer)...
To celebrate we're having a party next Tuesday evening and all readers are invited. It's at Housing Works Bookstore on Crosby street from 6:30-8:30.
