After you're done making that table out of old magazines, how about a few vases out of some unwanted books?

That's what designer Laura Cahill has done using nothing more than a band saw, unwanted books, and a few test tubes.

Now, we generally prefer to loan unwanted books to friends, or donate them to a library; however, we actually think these vases are sweet -- they'd look great on a bookshelf or a mantel.

Of course, our cats (after eating the flowers in the vase) would surely rip the thing to shreds ....
