Most of our bookshelves have built-in ends so as long as we fill them up (and we do!), bookends aren't necessary. But we have a few that don't have standing ends and we find ourselves readjusting the sliding books a few times a week. Perhaps it's time to get a few bookends. Here are ten we like for use in a child's space made from a vareity of materials - cotton, leather, metal and ceramic (for out of reach shelves). Top Row: 1 Raccoon Bookend (handmade, $23, also owl version, $18) 2 Jonathan Adler Dachshund White Resin Bookends (2/$39.95) 3 Robot Bookend ($86, one of a huge selection of leather bookends by Sandy Vohr) 4 Polar Bear bookend ($49.95, one of over a dozen from Zuny) 5 Bunny Bookends (handmade with red, pink or blue tails, 2/$58) Bottom Row: 6 Jonathan Adler Blue Metal Hand Bookends ($12.95) 7 Alphabet Bookends ($29.95/each) 8 Woodland Owl Animal Bookend ($80, also hedgehog, squirrel, fox and tree) 9 Fuschia Bunny Bookends (2/$34.99 ) 10 White Owl Resin Bookends ($39.95/2)
