Book-Inspired Kids Room Decor

Books have inspired more than just cakes. Some parents create a whole room for their child inspired by a favorite, beloved book. Here are four from our archives…

Parker Olivia's room includes a large Babar poster complimented by a hanging fabric hot air balloon.

• The walls in Bettina's son's room are based on artwork from Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry's classic The Little Prince.

Enzo's whimsical bedroom is adorned by none other than classic Seuss.

This room brings Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are book to life on the walls and, cleverly, a huge armoir. (Two more examples of Sendak murals: here and here.)
