This photo from the Selby reminded us of the flexibility of bookshelves made from wooden crates. Stacked in a staircase-style configuration and paired with clustered artwork, these shelves tread the line between unruliness and artful order. We love it...
A few things to keep in mind if you want to make your own crate bookshelves:
- Over time, the crates can shift and sag. Crate clamps will keep them in place.
- You many need to reinforce the corners of the crates with angle or corner braces.
