When is a coffee maker more than a simple coffee machine? You can spend hundreds of dollars on the perfect coffee machine, espresso machines and whatnot, but if you are trying to find something simple that looks really good, you'll have to look no further than the Bosch Tassimo.
This is Bosch's new coffee maker and it's called the Tassimo. What's different from other models is that this is a versatile machine. It's stylish and modern and can make 6 different types of drinks, from fresh brewed coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, hot chocolate, and teas. The heat-up period is very short and it uses self-contained and disposable T-discs. Now we usually don't approve of creating extra waste, but the added benefit of having these discs is that each of them contains extra brewing information that the coffee machine can read. It then tweaks the settings accordingly. It will modify brewing time, temperature and drink strength.
This can be definitely interesting for places where a lot of different people want to brew their drinks. We've used these types of coffee makers before and we have to say that they work well. However, since they do create more waste, it's kind of concerning. It's good to mention that the T-disc is a standard size that works well with a bunch of different Tassimo models from different manufacturers. This allows the Bosch coffee machine to be a lot smaller. The Bosch Tassimo is available for $170,
