On the outskirts of Boston Harbor, a 110-year-old lighthouse sits on Graves Island, and the US General Services Administration is auctioning off this piece of maritime history. The public sale was due to end last week, but any new bid adds 24 hours to the clock. As of this writing, the leading bid is $792,444, about double the previous lighthouse-sale record.
