Some small space solutions he put to work: a wall of storage is tucked into the open framing of the attic, bare bulbs in simple porcelain sockets keep things from getting fussy, and the stained wood floors are painted with a glossy white paint.

Gorgeous! I wish I were an architect. How did he create those ceilings?

I really like it, but bare CFLs look awful when lit. A blinding, cold blue light is just a switch away...

Nice space, I love the walls. I thought I read recently that some CFLs emit harmful radiation in close quarters.... It's a very 1920s look, early bauhaus exposed lighting fixtures etc.

I would love to see what this place looks like from the outside.

This is beautiful! When I was younger, i always wanted my dad to renovate our attic because our house was so small and the attic only homed a few christmas decorations... this would have been amazing!

My favorite thing about this is it looks so do-able. Really simple construction elements and common materials. So clean and simple.
