Oh, Polaroid, such a bittersweet story. Thankfully there are folks in the world trying to do the impossible and re-invent instant film and others just trying to create beautiful things with what's left of it. We stumbled across this lovely Etsy shop on Flickr while searching for "Apartment Therapy Boston" and it warmed us right up on this bitter cold day...
Massachusetts Etsy seller ethanollie began this collage collection as a way to use overexposed, underexposed and expired film. But she quickly realized they could be tiny studies in nuance, color and texture. They are not prints but actual collaged polaroids, making each a one-of-a-kind. We love the soft focus and warm, diffused colors that only instant film can create.
