apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

The Gallery: Rune Guneriussen

We've been voraciously bookmarking all forms of playful and romantic expression we can find, even sharing a few here and here. Art and design are facets of an incredible human experience, both personal and collective, and we appreciate work that strives to capture that human experience and present it in new ways. These magical photographs by Rune Guneriussen sum it up nicely...

There is so much playfulness and potent, tangible emotion in these seemingly inanimate objects: a search party of desk lamps with lights on bright, side chair lovers embrace at high tide, and a train of Tiffany lamps set out for a moonlit stroll in the snow.

These images are a mere sampling of the amazing works by Rune Guneriussen — many more can be seen at the artist's website. Prices upon request.

Nice. What nationality is Gunneriussen? I'm thinking s/he is Nordic ... More info is welcome, though I suppose I can go to the website.

I love the one of the two chairs. It has a lot of personality.

The two chairs embracing is an example of great feng shui for the Love & Relationship area of the bagua of any room.

I love interior furniture photographed outdoors. Anthropology did a great spread in their Spring catalogue...
