Velvet Quilts from Pottery Barn

img31l.jpg

With the drop in temperature, we're daydreaming about a cozy nest of a bed. And we've always had a soft spot for velvet. So when we spotted these diamond patterned quilts at Pottery Barn, we were enticed. Granted, we're not in the market for a new comforter but if you are and you like these quilts, available in a sophisticated palette of colors, now might be a good time to check them out because they're on sale...

Ordinarily the full/queen size quilt is $249 but it's currently on sale for $199. Sure, it's still a bit pricey, but we think a velvet quilt could be a lovely remedy for a long, cold winter.

They're GORGEOUS, but velveteen (they're technically not velvet) is a magnet for pet hair, so I will have to pass!

Love them! But even at $199, they're too pricy for me.

I'm just imagining those as an absolute nightmare to clean! I have a need to be able to throw my bedspread (or at least a duvet cover) into the washer.

I have the same need, and I just checked. They're actually machine wash & dry, which was totally unexpected. How they'll hold up to regular laundering, who knows?

Really pretty but I prefer a duvet. Much easier to clean!
