From 3:00 to 5:00 pm you can ask questions of a carpenter, plumber, window restoration contractor, painter & drywall specialist, electrician, energy efficiency specialist, insulation contractor, landscaper, and roofer. This is also a great chance to learn more about the Boston Building Materials Co-op and The Building Materials Resource Center, both of which are great resources for Boston area homeowners and do-it-yourselfers.

OH NO!! I MISSED IT! Damn. When is the next one scheduled, anyone know?
Also, when is the co-op open? Can you just swing by and start firing off questions even though there are not specialist / contractors there?

Although, I'm not immediately eying a new project, the pic that you selected for this installment brought back an hillarious memory (in retrospect) of a previous project, and the battle that ensued with the floor sander that seemed to have a mind of it's own :) The floor had a lot more "character" by the time I'd finished with it :)
Thanks for bringing that memory to the surface.
Love your blogs.

Joymich, the Co-op is open 8-4:30 M-F and Saturdays 9-3. Yes, you can fire away with your questions, and the staff will answer as best they can and refer you to someone else if they can't. You also might be interested in the various Saturday morning workshops scheduled for the spring.
