Confidence Boosting Hangers

32400.gif

It never can hurt to get an extra dose of self-validation when you're getting dressed in the morning. These ego-supportive hangers would make nice companions to the self-esteem boosting mirror we blogged about a while ago.

We spotted these hangers in the current issue of Interior Design. They're hanging in the very cool Ace Hotel in NYC. There wasn't any source information for the hangers — we assume they were made for the hotel. It's amazing how a pithy little sentence on a hanger manages to make us feel good.

These bring to mind the sayings on the labels of FLAX clothing.

i'm sorry, this kind of stuff is so dumb. it's like buying rocks that say 'peace' or 'calm', etc. if reading text on some mass produced object affects the way you feel about yourself or your ability to find peace and happiness, then i don't know what to say. but it's weird to me.

If I was to have hangers that speak to me they would say loose weight so you can wear me again!

Those are pretty awesome. I would just DIY it up though and scribble it on my own hangers. It'd be nice to have different messages too, like encouraging for the day. I know that some days I need a little shove to get in a good mood.
