We've been seeing so many wonderful garden spaces here on Apartment Therapy lately but where we live we only have a small shared outdoor space so an outdoor garden is really out of the picture. What we do have is a large South facing bow front window just waiting for some plants. The above image of a courtyard in a private home in Japan by Ryue Nishizawa gives us inspiration for how to approach interior plantings...
With a nice balance between branches, leafy greens, and flowers this delicate planting has lots of texture and variation while maintaining an overall weightless feeling. The variations in the pot sizes and colors adds interest when the plants may not be blooming.
One of the last things we feel we need to do to make out apartment feel more like a home is to green up the interior. Another plus to the interior potted plants is we can enjoy them all year round!

I like this for the most part but I'm not sure about the dead trees. I'm all for using branches as decor but these just look like trees someone forgot to water (unless it's too early in the season for them to have all their leaves yet). Even so, it adds to the variety, I guess.

I weirdly do not get a sense of scale from this. And it kind of makes me think of something the evil queen in return to oz would like.

I agree with kiljoy . . . it seems oddly surreal. Did they wash out the background in the picture?
