We've had our eye on these delicate glass birdies for a while. They'd be perfect on a deeper windowsill to allow light to filter through the glass. Now would be the right time to make our move because they're on sale...

These mouthblown glass bird vases come in a set of 2: one chickadee and one dove. Normally available for $39, you can currently get them for 25% off — $29. We think they'd also make a lovely gift.
Nice - The Tropical Fish vases are cute too:

How sweet. I'm so tempted to splurge now, but I'm also worried about mineral build-up over time if they're used as vases. Those little holes don't seem conducive to scrubbing the inside.

swingjingle, all you need to do is fill them with vinegar, let them stand overnight, and empty.
I'm a little perturbed by the holes in the bird's head. They should have put them in the butt, so the ferns could be tail feathers! ha ha ha

psst - you can get the chickadee at three potato four for a mere $18!

not to mention, they are a lovely company. i got two things from them over the holidays (one as a gift, one for myself) and the packaging was handwritten and personalized on each one. plus, they got here early!

(ha - this is mainly pertinent for after they are no longer on sale)

I have had the one pictured top right for nearly 3 years, I picked it up at Figments in Providence, RI. I love it, it's a fun piece that everyone always notices when I have guests.
