Good Question: Where Can I Find Similar Velour Pillows?

04_03_GQ.jpg

Hi AT! I love these dark, velour pillows from the Marblehead house tour! I've been looking for something similar but can't find stripes like these. Where should I be looking for these pillows or something similar, with a pattern? My couch is a nubby, not-so-soft texture and I think fuzzy pillows like these would bring the perfect balance! Thanks, Karen.

If you have a machine, or a friend with a sewing machine, just make some. Squares are about the easiest shape to make...and it will be WAY cheaper.

*Home Sense* always has an amazing variety of cushions -- with a quick turnover...
(I guess Home Goods in the US)

I have those!
And you know where I got them...WALMART!
Lol, I saw them there and thought the mix of brown and blues were perfect and bought a couple of them :)

they look like ones I have. Not sure whether I got them from Target or K-Mart (Martha S line) about 1 yr ago.

I saw these yesterday! On clearence at my local Target. No joke, I eyed them since they were so pretty but don't go with my color scheme.

Good luck!

Hi, following thermal's suggestion, I made my own cushions with the same type of fabric, which is sometimes used for sofa and chair upholstery. I've found that remnants (which are quite large pieces) are often on sale for very, very cheap at fabric stores, usually in a big bin. Also, Craigslist often has furniture reupholstery shop ads selling off remnant pieces. I have no sewing skills whatsoever but cushions are probably the simplest thing to make, if you're inclined to try.

Damn, wish they were available in Australia. They'd be perfect for my sofa.

I looked for similar pillows for 2 years -- then finally found them at Area in Lambertville NJ. They are gorgeous, plush velvet stripes on a canvas fabric. Since then, I have seen cheaper versions at Home Goods, etc., but they don't compare to the ones I bought quality-wise

I used to work at Bed Bath and Beyond, you can find them there for sure in multiple colors.
