We know you have questions — about your apartment, furniture, roommates, pets, whatever! — so send them our way. Don't be like Bacon and just lay there when you don't know what else to do. Take a picture, email it over and we'll get your question answered!

i haven't sent any more of mine in cos the first one i ever did went unposted. i figure you must be flooded with them! or maybe it was a crappy question, but that's why. =)

Is there a ray of sun Bacon doesn't want to absorb? :D

Yeah, I figure my questions are probably on the website somewhere, I just can't find them... and someone will be quick to point that out. Makes you feel like an idiot then. This is my first time with AT... and I see people pointing out things from past posts.

Kayla here -
In its infancy, AT Boston received many questions that were filed away, waiting to be posted and, it's very likely that many fell to the nether regions of our inboxes without being properly tagged so we could find them again.
If you've sent AT Boston a question and it was never posted, please send it again! We'll do the heavy lifting to search and make sure it was never posted so as to avoid those unpleasant, "This was posted before and here's the link..." comments.

it was about sourcing cheap chesterfield sofas

Thanks Kayla! I try hard to search for what I need before asking a question that may have been covered a bunch of times before.

I had a similar problem- as an "international" member I wasn't sure where to send my question, and I think it went to nowheresville.... I do have a good one, though, and I would like to submit!!!

I've posted a couple of questions and both times received really helpful suggestions. However, I've seen some questions posted and some of the responses were quite harsh, usually commenting on someone's taste in decor rather than offering any assistance. Some people who respond seem to lack a....filter. Anticipating these types of responses can be intimidating for some and they may choose not to ask for help here because of that.

Q: What is Bacon thinking about?
view rosenatti's profile
A: How much longer till he has to move to the next sunny spot.

Because we already know what the readers' suggestions would be:
- Get some artwork on the walls. Visit an art school to get cheaper stuff.
- If the walls are white, paint them a colour. If they are a colour, paint them out neutral.
- You should get Item X at Ikea. Don't get too much stuff at Ikea.
- Your cat/dog/bowl-of-donuts is soooo adorable.
- Where did you get xyz? I didn't read the full article that mentioned all the sources, I demand you just tell me in the comments.
- Your place looks cheap and studenty. Your place looks too expensive like you try too hard.
- Needs an injection of MCM. Too much MCM.
- "Splash of Colour" (GAG)
I say this with love. :-) I know, I say that same things too. :-)

Or to add to the list of things commenters say that would make a poster think twice is the classic "keep it the same. why would you change it?" when the poster explicitly wants to change it.
I am so guilty of this but come on...you wanted our two cents well there it is. Skim over the comments you don't like and zero in ones you do. When it comes to advice you decide which you're going to take.

I sent a question to Re-nest and I don't think it was ever posted. That kind of soured me on the whole process, I'm afraid. It was kind of an urgent question (related to health, not decorating), but I couldn't come up with a picture, so it wasn't posted.

Hmmm...an urgent health-related question posted at a design site...with the disappointing omission of a picture, no less.

I've sent in the same question for three weeks and have yet to see it posted...

muirwoods08, Re-nest is the Apartment Therapy site devoted to eco-friendly living. My question had to do with sourcing undyed, unbleached organic cotton clothing because the usual commercially-made clothing gives me a nasty rash. It was quite urgent at the time, and I didn't have the spare mental energy to try and come up with a photo to try and illustrate "insanely itchy red rash all over my body."
You might want to be more cautious in your use of snark in future.

I've posted a couple of questions, but with no picture. They haven't been answered so I've given up.

I wish my question would get posted now!!! I thought it was "good."
What gives, AT?
