Good Questions: A Similar Shiny Lamp Option?

6-2-lamp-shiny.jpgI was wondering if one of your wonderful readers could help me find a similar and affordable lamp that looks like the Haley table lamp from Crate and Barrel. I'm looking for that high-gloss metallic finish as well. If not a similar lamp, then maybe a how to re-create the look? Please help me! I didn't think it would be this hard...

Check out "mercury glass" on ebay. You might be able to score a cheap piece that could be converted to a lamp.

You could also, if you wanted to go the Ikea route (I know, I know) you could grab a lamp from there that is similar in shape and spray paint the base in a silver. DIY the lamp! :)

This Silver Ball Lamp could work, and you can always request a more neutral shade.

Krylon makes a terrific mirror paint that is designed to be sprayed on the inside of clear glass--and it looks amazing. You'd never guess that it's spray paint! So you could take any inexpensive clear glass lamp and make it look just like this.

I just saw something like that on clearance at Target yesterday. Can't find it on the site though...

I saw the lamps that at Target that Linnealoves mentioned. They are marked down to $29. They do look pretty similar to these.
