Hey AT! I'm curious if I could have some help in identifying this loveseat? Room & Board has something similar, but not quite what we're looking for. There weren't any tags on the piece and the hotel didn't have a clue. Thanks! Greg

This is the sofa from

It's a little like this one, too, but not exactly.

this one from z gallerie's not an exact match either. it prolly resembles the r&b one more than the hotel one, but i think the arms wrap around a bit more, making it less modern looking. http://www.zgallerie.com/pc-4974-59-cuddler-chair.aspx

There are sofas and loveseats from a company called Moroso that look a lot like this-- it is contract furniture so it is quite costly and a designer would have to buy it for you, but will last forever...

It's possible it was made custom for the hotel, which often happens in that industry.

Interesting. The shape and the velvet is reminiscent of Art Deco but the blocky feet and the lack of decoration say it's a contemporary piece. I think it's lovely. I've often fallen in love with commercial lobby furniture, classic lines, built to last and generally a comfortable but firm seat that keeps it's looks. The zgallerie one looks pretty close, I wonder how it would look without the pillows?

Thanks for the suggestions so far... I'm still looking though. For anyone who's curious, the couch was in one of the standard rooms at the Wheatleigh in Lenox, MA. We lucked out and snagged two nights there last December for $19.28 /night as part of an 80 Year Anniversary Giveaway by the Leading Hotels of the World. - Greg

Why don't you ask at the hotel. If you can find someone who knows there's no reason they wouldn't tell you. They could at least put you in touch with their designer.
