We came across this great product at Core77 and had to share it with the Apartment Therapy community. The Re-vive table legs turn just about any flat surface of varied size and thickness into a table about 16 to 19 inches tall. It reminds us of the rocking chair base we wrote about a while ago but much more useful. This product hits a sweet spot being a little green, a little D.Y.I. and a little industrial all in the same little package...
This is what the designers have to say...
Attached and removed within seconds and without the need for expertise or tools, the legs can be used to produce a variety of permanent and semi permanent tables, in various scale, depth and surface diameters...
The tables aim to offer a unique yet simple furniture design without adding to the problems of new product manufacture. The leg clamps are manufactured in the UK from previously redundant production equipment that has now been revived by Cohda.
They are available now in black or orange on Cohda's website, though we are not sure they will ship to the US.
They have also set up a gallery for users to upload their D.Y.I. creations.
I LOVE them! The company doesn't appear to ship to the US but Branch Home is listed as a retailer (although the legs aren't on their website). I will be getting a set as soon as I can.

I want to like this but... I don't. The design is too clunky and self conscious. They're just too THERE. You could probably do just as well with standard hardware store items. It might look better in fact.

looks like a bad DIY job to me.... don't like them.

I like a table with a flat surface, not with c-clamps sticking up.

This just screams LOOK! LOOK EVERYONE! I REPURPOSED SOMETHING!!!! Which may be the aesthetic you're going for. But I agree with monroe, very self conscious.

I agree, it looked awesome at first- and I love the idea, but I don't love the execution.

I like this idea with larger objects, but the repurposed-phonebook sidetable looks silly with those clamps. They need a few different sizes, no?

Okay, having visited the Cohda website, I've decided I have to have 'em. Four legs comes to about $120, not too bad for something so mutable, and delivery within London is free. I'll be in London in October... so there it is. Only one problem: I WANT THEM NOW.
*throws unseemly tantrum*
