Hot or Not? Alexander Girard Bicycles

The colors and designs of Alexander Girard inspired these bicycle designs from Electra Bicycle Company. Part of Electra's Amsterdam collection, the bicycles feature 3-speed internal gear systems and all the details you'd expect — a bell (no whistles).

The white bicycle features Girard's Tree of Life pattern and the red bicycle is his Madonna design. Available from Electra Bicycle Company and sold at Electra dealers. Both designs are $750 from Sage Cycles.

I like the white bike better than the red one, but they both make me think I should be riding with a friend around a beach town.

I live in Amsterdam and I would love one to use all the time :) although it would get stolen immediately :(

$750 is a lot to pay for a bike with only 3 gears... cute, but not practical unless you live somewhere completely flat.

Adorable. Overpriced, but adorable.

I like the white one better than the red (which is just weird-looking), but I'd feel kind of silly riding it around the city. I think functionality is more important than looks when choosing a bicycle.

I'm with you, sally305. I love them. I am perfectly content with my Daisy by Phat Cycles, but Electra makes gorgeous cruisers.

Definitely Hot but even hotter is painting your own unique ride.

This is so cute, but I would be too afraid to ride it and scratch it up. More of a Bike-As-Art thing.

Totally hot. I come from a city with a strong bike culture and lots of unique and colorful bikes, so I wouldn't feel the least bit embarrassed to ride around on one of these. Well..maybe the red one is a bit much.

I love these! They taunt me every day when I walk past the shop window down the street: "you know you want me...."

These are so adorable! I especially love the red one! The price tag is a bit steep though.

I like the shape of them, but I don't particularly want boobs on the side of my bike.

Girard has jumped the shark (Urban Outfitters? Really??) . Electra makes a lot of other sweet cruisers, check then out instead.

Hot and it would literally be hot if you tried to lock and leave it anywhere in the LA beach area vicinity for over 15 minutes.

i love them both. very whimsical and fun. I'm guessing just as fun to ride, its about the journey not the destination right. Only thing thats not so fun... the price.

I love it. Comfort and commuter style bikes are the only kind I buy. I wish I had seen this before I put down $650 on mine earlier this year.
