We think this is hot because of the wide range of possibilities — it could look highly refined or a little messy. The seemingly impossible balance is achieved though a 83kg steel counter balance and ball bearing runners. It's a functional Donald Judd sculpture for the home. So what do you think?
Clever I s'pose, but neither original nor particularly beautiful.

The concept amuses me, but I'd have it all stacked up evenly and where's the fun in that? So cool but pointless for my decor.

For some reason, this reminds me of Sesame Street.
That is all.

I keep wondering if it would fall over if I pulled all the drawers out like a staircase.

I love them. I would have them all stacked neatly as well and just open them when I needed something. I like that that colors are muted.

Love the colors. However, I would never want it to look like anything but the first (neat!) picture, so it might as well be a normal chest of drawers instead. Things like this always make me wonder -- if the top 2 or 3 drawers are full and you swing them out, can the thing topple over?

nikkibee I thought the exact same thing! They remind you of Sesame Street too. Why?!

The drawers don't pull out relative to each, but only go out one drawer-depth. At which point, they're all stopped by the steel post, and they are all stacked on top of each other again, and the steel post, which was original in the front of the chest, is now in the back.

So the answer is: no, it will not fall over.

Hmmm... reminds me of the stacked boxes out in farmers fields for bee's....

They have to be soooooooooooooo expensive that the only way I could have them is if they truly were hot.

Why the sudden fixation on AT with Ligne Rosset? If this is an advertising deal shouldn't it be labeled as such?

As it turns out, I was recently at Ligne Roset and inquired about that piece. The tall colored one resales for around 6K. As for falling over, no it shouldn't, mostly thanks to the bottom drawer being filled with 80 kg of weight (for the tall one again).
