Wall of Frames: With Added Function

02_05_nendo_03.jpg

If you liked the Bachelor Party Bloomingdale's window but can't find a reason to hang a bunch of empty frames on the wall, here's a way to take that idea and add a little function. The designer's sketch should give you an idea, but follow the jump to see this wall of frames in action...

Yes, this is a gym climbing wall. Home decor turned exercise equipment seems like a pretty genuis idea to us. When not in use, who would ever guess that the picture frames and deer heads are actually grips for a climbing wall? What usually looks dull and ugly is transformed into a pretty handsome space. We'd like to see these ideas applied to a home. Now if we could only figure out how to turn those treadmills into a lovely piece of home decor...

Hmmm...climbing in a skirt and tights, huh? Almost as silly as someone in a suit.

With no one belaying, this looks a little unsafe to me. That floor doesn't look like a real soft landing. And why are these people working out in their work clothes?!

They should add some floor pillows as crash pads. You wouldn't wanna deck on a hardwood floor.

Sorry, this still looks dull and ugly. Fugly. It's a shame none of the other spaces (except for the karaoke tub) could have been featured here instead.

I think it's kind of cool (better looking than a treadmill in the home) but my fear of heights would keep from ever attempt an ascend.

no pillows...why would you want pillows. anyone stupid enough to climb up this contraption deserves to hit the pavement or hardwood below hard.

I absolutely cannot imagine having such a thing in my home, but I might make that picture my new desktop. The very idea of this existing *somewhere* makes me giddy!

Seriously... why are they not wearing safety lines?

I think that the idea is creative, but boy are the colors a snore. Even with all of the ornamentation, it's still a big white wall. How about giving it some punch, eh?

Way too busy for my taste. And it desperately needs color.
