Handcrafted Lightboxes from Boston-Based Munstre

In yesterday's post about how to make a string lamp, we admitted our addiction to pendant lamps. The truth is we're obsessed with most things illuminated, particularly low-lit mood lighting. We love these lightboxes, individually designed and crafted by Christopher Elsasser for his company, Munstre. If you find this x-ray box a little too spooky, below the jump you'll find some captivating alternatives...

Christopher makes each lightbox himself and sets really reasonable prices: you can fetch a mini or standard lightbox from $55-$95. He can also customize lightbox colors & finishes along with light wattages.

The Munstre website reveals that Christopher has wall-size lightboxes in the works - we can't wait to see those! (Check out Jeanine's post about design inspiration at Hungry Mother restaurant - you'll see an example of a larger wall lightbox!)

Cool! I've been wanting to do something with my chihuahua's x-rays, this might just be the project!

hmm, when I daughter was two , she swallowed a penny, and I have the x ray. This would be a funny birthday present surprise.

Yeah, I've been holding onto my CAT scans (my head, not my cat's) for the same reason. It would make some nice $10K artwork.
