Inspiration: Garden Table for Indoor Winter Plants

garden table.png

Now that the night temperatures have dropped to around the freezing mark, all of the container plants from our front steps and deck have moved in. We've got pots on the floor next to the sofa, on our bedside table, and on the kitchen counters. Some of them look a little lonely, which is why we're loving this metal garden table (featured in Lonny magazine) which brings all sorts of pots and plants together...

This adorable metal table lives in the home of former Domino editor-in-chief Deborah Needleman. We love not only the plant table idea, but that like many collections, all of the plants have more impact as a group rather than being scattered here and there. As a bonus, watering becomes easier, and if you use an old wood or metal table you don't have to worry that the finish might get water stained. Oddly enough winter is the only time we keep bring our plants indoors although this big infusion of green add such a feeling of warmth— I'm thinking we'd leave it up all year.

the pots are missing the plastic things on the bottom to catch the water!
