We took this picture a couple years ago in a hostel in Sevilla, Spain. We wouldn't classify it amongst the nicest places we've spent the night but the old chandelier's single blown bulb created the most graphic wall shadow we've ever (accidentally) seen...

Reminds us a lot of the chandelier wall sticker craze. But this version could actually be stenciled and painted onto the wall in place of a headboard. We especially like the ridiculous scale of the shadow in this very sparse room.
Just a little DIY inspiration on your way into the long weekend. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.
This reminds me of this chandelier shadow inspired paint job.

Wow. So just last night I said to my boyfriend that I loved the shadow our chandelier makes on the wall and how it would look cool if we painted the shadow onto the wall/ceiling... So today I see this and I look at the link Aaron posted.. and someone's already done it! GR!

You know a great alternative to painting a shadow of a chandelier on a wall? Using a real chandelier to cast a real shadow.

The fixture shadow in my kitchen (so-so pic) is insane, I pause to look at it nearly every day still, but i don't think it would have that same magic feeling if it were painted.
Maybe if it incorporated some shadow grafitti...
