While stuck in the airport with a delayed flight and a few large, artificially-colored drinks, we spotted this giant sign looming overhead. Maybe it's because we don’t spend much time in suburban chain restaurants, but we overlooked this as the restaurant’s slogan - dripping with irony in the windowless airport bar - and couldn’t help wondering what the sign would look like taken out of this context and into our living room…
Like cross-stitched or hand-painted signs hanging in the entrance of your grandmother’s house, this sign took on new meaning and seemed fresh and modern. Maybe we had one too many fruity drinks, but this inspired a new interest in proclaiming the individuality of our home on a new scale. Time to get out the cross-stitch needles or maybe the sign paint.
