We don’t want to stereotype here, but if pressed we might say that our experience with movers has been…more gruff than soft. So it was with amusement that we read about the new, sensitive movers in town…

We heard about Metrosexual Movers, an Arlington-based moving company run by a graphic designer (!) on Boston Daily Candy. Delightfully, the Metrosexual Movers website opens with an option to choose your own background music while viewing the site, either Ludacris or Marvin Gaye, depending on your taste - which seems to be the point: that Metrosexual Movers claims to honor you, your tastes, and your stuff.

Next time you’re in the market for a move, try them out and let us know how it goes.

i knew it! i saw the headline and said "hey... Kyle mus be getting Daily Candy..." I'm intrigued, too... I'd love to hear from someone who's used these guys. I wouldn't, I'm that weirdo who acctually likes the process of moving. Something about closure and new beginnings. But still, I'm amused....

So, do the movers smell nice, have good hair, appropriate shoes, and trousers with a proper break?

Yeah yeah, hipster moving companies. How much extra do you pay for them to smell nice and have manscaping?

I'm all about Chinese moving companies for the low price. Kline Moving Co was fantastic, quick and super cheap.

actually the rabbit mover guys seemed much more in touch with their feminine sides that your average mover..... read: hunky AND gentle. and they were cheap and fast and good.

I used Deathwish, to hoist big pieces that wouldn't make the turns in my tight stairway. They were fast and professional, and the Boston off-duty cop who was required to assure pedestrian safety (minimum half-day pay) never showed up. I liked the black t-shirts with skulls...

Oh this is like Amazon Movers from about 15 years ago. They were an all-female moving company in nyc. They were awesome.
