Vintage French linens, ironstone, unique Swedish furniture and New England farmhouse antiques are only some of our favorite things at Red Chair Antiques. The others are the sheer inspiration from everything they have on display. Red Chair's unique collection of one-of-a-kind vintage flea market finds from Belgium, Hungary, Sweden and France is well worth the pretty drive up the road to New Hampshire, especially this time of year...

Red Chair is located in Peterborough, New Hampshire amongst a square of other unique shops that you can easily spend a day in. The owner scours for unique finds in Europe and all over New England. The selection changes constantly, from industrial tables from an old fabric mill to embroidered grain sacks made into pillows and rugs, vintage hand-loomed linen towels, duvet covers and sheets. When we were last there, we fell in love with bolts of vintage red wallpaper and bought some heavy French linen to make into window coverings.

Red Chair always has a large collection of ironstone and vintage latte bowls, as well as sterling hotelware and flatware. You can find bolts and pieces of vintage European fabric, antique books, mirrors, cement garden furniture and more. You never know what you'll find, but whatever you see there you know you'll never find anywhere else.

So if you're looking for a scenic day trip this long Columbus Day Weekend, consider a trip to Peterborough and Red Chair. There are some great farm stands along the way to buy pumpkins at, and a great place to eat lunch across the parking lot in a refurbished railroad warehouse where they make their own really delicious gelato!
