New Linea Shelving from Lago

Lago, an Italian design company, recently launched a new line of fun, modular shelving available in a delicious array of colors.

As you can see from the photos, you can create anything your heart desires with the Linea shelving. However, don't get your heart too set on Linea because it's probably pricey and not easy to come by. We called Italian Design in Brookline (they sell other Lago pieces) to ask about Linea and they said it's so new that they don't yet have it in their store and it wasn't clear if or when they would. But it's worth a follow-up call if you're really interested.

So for now, let Linea inspire you to turn your thinking on its side, in terms of how to arrange shelving.

It's a really beautiful, basic idea. What would make this wildly expensive? It looks like it could be done with very similar results out of Ikea laminate shelving.

this could be a solution for the couple with too many firemen-related gifts from the inlaws from a few days ago.
