So when does AT Boston start a Sales Calendar? We need that!

Was just wondering this morning about Wes & Kayla - I recall they were each competing in last year's Small Cool contest before moving in with each other and getting a spot on AT for Boston, and how divided the comments were for their spaces. Do we have pictures of the new place with forces combined/contrasted? I'm curious! I've seen the doggie, but I couldn't dig up much on the rest of their abode. I'm not being too nosy, am I?

Hi! I'm looking for a sofa bed or futon for our office/guest room...any favorite places to look in Boston that won't break my bank? We're really quite traditional and not very modern, so it has been a tough search. I've got a car so I can roam outside the city too...

What kind of price range are you looking? Have you heard of the Jordan's Clearance Center in Avon (it's right next to IKEA, basically). They have this HUGE clearance center with tons of sofas that have been discounted...I bet they have some sofabeds as well. I got a standard sofa there for $547 marked down from over $800.

Hi JuniperGreen,

I think the best value would be to scour CraigsList and be patient if there's nothing there this week. You can't beat the values on it and you'll get a couch much cheaper than a new one, especially if your tastes run more traditional. Modern things tend to get scooped up faster on CL.

You didn't mention what your budget is, but you could always try ikea, or call around to see if there are any floor models on sale at Crate and Barrel or even Bowl and Board (they moved to Davis Square and sell some couches in back). Also maybe Boston Interiors (good floor model sales sometimes) or check out consignment stores that sell furniture.

Kyle blogged about a place called "Garage Sale" in the South End that sells used furniture:
