Painting Doors Different Colors
In a home that's otherwise filled with sophisticated hues, Katie and Joe successfully added some bursts of poppy color to their 3 bedroom doors. The effect is so inviting, playful and yet somehow still refined. It's such a smart way to add some color without overdosing on an entire wall. Not to mention it's an easy way to refer to rooms (e.g. the blue room, the green room etc.). To see Katie and Joe's enchanting home, click here for the tour.

As a renter that's not really an option but I love the idea! I'm a big fan of bright bold colors but my husband leans more towards nuetrals so it would make a nice compromise.

i love this - what a great solution to wanting neutral walls but still wanting to play with color! it also has a sense of childish imagination - we all had fantastic house ideas like this as kids, this is just the grown up implementation.

My little cousins got to pick out the colour they wanted for their doors and then painted them themselves. It was a great way to get the kids in on the decorating and give their space its own style.

uh, yeah, what's with all the condo decor stuff? I thought this was apartment therapy for those of us who rent. I can't image a landlord letting me paint the doors unless they were already ugly and painted or if I'd lived in a place forever.
