Graphic Numbers: Vintage Service Station Numbers

gas station sign 1.jpg

Last fall, the discussion about the Huge Number Five (from a house in our home town!) made us smile. Big, bold, graphic letters and numbers have us at hello. The cheerful vintage metal numbers pictured above are from old service stations — it's likely they once proudly announced gas prices next to icons such as that big Sinclair dinosaur. They'd be great to use as address numbers, birthday or anniversary gifts, or fun, eclectic decorations in your office or kitchen...

Here are some more affordable bold graphic numbers, and we love that they infuse a bit of color into your house as well. These double-sided vintage service station numbers are from mom and pop seller Three Potato Four, who have been featured on AT before. Janet Morales and Stu Eli from Three Potato Four manage to add interesting and vintage, industrial finds to their etsy store every week. They are super nice and have an eye for quirky design that makes us keep coming back.

Three Potato Four does alway have a selection. I have three of these, and I love them. One in the playroom, one in the living room, and one in my office!

I have a service station number leaning against the wall behind my range with little magnetic cans (from BB&B) stuck to it.
Together they make a cool spice rack.
